The Aim of a Fire Risk Assessment
An FRA identifies fire hazards in a building. It also assesses the risk to life of those occupying the building, and makes recommendations to eliminate or mitigate the identified risks by identifying suitable control measures.
Carrying out a Fire Risk Assessment (FRA)
The Responsible Person, usually the building owner or occupant, must ensure that a competent person carried out a FRA. A competent person must also ensure that any FRAs are reviewed regularly. Due to the nature of risks involved in fire safety, it’s recommended that you outsource FRAs. This ensures the document is written by someone with expertise, and also saves you time carrying it out yourself.
Craven Safety Services can carry out your FRA for you.
